Car speedometers are rarely totally accurate, add in a close ratio gearbox, lower final drive and a change of tyre size, and the potential for error grows exponentially.

With more and more static speed cameras around, never mind the mobile ones, the chance of unknowingly drifting slightly over the limit getting caught speeding are higher than ever, that can really ruin you day and/or event.

This all in one self contained unit is calibrated in MPH (we can get KPH for anyone who takes their car to Europe and beyond) and gives an accurate GPS based speed with no data storage, so any peak speed can never be recalled. USB powered for ease of fitment.
